Is your current income enough for your needs? Or for the lifestyle you desire?

In this current economic climate more and more people are finding the need to have a second income. There are many openings out there. The 64 thousand dollar question – which one is the right one for you?

You should sit down and make a check list. What are you good at, what are your interests, what investment can you give – both time and financial, what is your personality? I would suggest that Earning a Second Income should be something you enjoy doing as it should not become an extra hassle in your life.

The one that I found worked for me was network marketing. The only drawback I have found to NWM is the negative perception some people have of it. I still occasionally get the comment ‘Oh that’s a pyramid scheme’ There was a negative perception of Franchising when it was first introduced, in fact, it was nearly declared illegal. NWM and Franchising have come a long way since those days. Donald Trump stated that if he had to start all over again from nothing, he would find a good network marketing company and run with it. Many major well known corporations have now adopted the strategies of NWM.

So could NWM be the way forward for you to earn that second income?

Let’s take a look at the benefits.
• A low initial investment
• Systems are all in place
• Training provided
• Support given
• Can be worked from home
• Power of leverage
• Residual income
• Huge potential

So if you decide that NWM may be the way forward for you to earn a second income how do you decide which company would be the one?

• Research the company thoroughly
• Look at its financial record
• Has the company got a strong management team?
• Where is the company based?
• Is there free training provided?
• What is the company’s compensation plan?
• Is there true residual /passive income?
• Has the company got products or services that are already on peoples’ shopping list?
• Are its products or services priced at or below market levels?

These were all points I took into consideration when I made my choice of which NWM company to join. I found Telecom Plus/Utility Warehouse ticked all the boxes for me. The biggest tick in the box was that the company provides services that everyone needs and everyone uses - phones, broadband, gas and electricity, and offering them at best value prices. I wasn’t going to have sell a product to anyone that they did not need or want.

So if you are looking for a second income idea, one that you can work from home, perhaps NWM may be something you might consider. Find out more here www.mynewbusinessopportunity.co.uk

Many police have 2nd jobs. My highly motivated team is looking for both serving policemen and ex police personnel to join them – is it YOU?

Headlines in the Times today report that many police officers have second jobs because they need a second income.

Concerns have been raised about ‘conflict of interest ‘with certain types of jobs and whether allowing police officers to have a second job will create a part time police force. The Police Federation has defended the practice claiming many police officers need a second income to make ends meet amid the cuts and pay freezes.

Telecom Plus/Utility Warehouse has long been one of the second income opportunities that various Chief Constables have allowed. The beauty about Telecom Plus is that it is not a job. It is a business opportunity that can be worked from home in hours to suit. There are therefore no concerns over tiredness and there is certainly no conflict of interest.

It is really interesting that police officers who join Telecom Plus/Utility Warehouse are among some of the most successful distributors. They already have all the qualities needed to succeed with the company.

They are disciplined
They love the camaraderie that comes from being part of a highly motivated team
They recognise the importance of training
They have good communication skills
They have commitment to a job well done and appreciate rewards and recognition when achieving this
They thrive in the company of positive like minded people
They like the idea that they are part of a professional organisation.
They like the idea that they are part of a winning team

With Utility Warehouse/Telecom Plus the rewards and recognition for achievement are fantastic. You are openly appreciated and respected for success. You receive ongoing training and support and the business is structured in such a way that success is dependent on team effort.

If you would like to know more about a business opportunity you could work from home in your off duty hours, a business that allows you to Earn a Second Income by using all the skills and characteristics that attracted you to the police force, then please get in touch .

YOU might just be one of the people we are looking for. Sign up today at http://www.mynewbusinessopportunity.co.uk

As with all things there are ‘pros and cons’ with working from home.

Much will depend on your character and personality and what may be a ‘positive’ for one person may be a ‘negative’ for another. It is important that you are honest with yourself when looking at your strengths and weaknesses when deciding if working from home is for you.

One obvious advantage if you Work At Home is that you save on expenditure. There will be no rent or rates to pay and whilst your heating bills may rise a little, a good accountant will see that any expenses incurred are taken into consideration when setting things against tax.

One obvious disadvantage of Working From Home is that there is the danger that you never ‘switch off’. If you work in an office you can close the office door when the day’s work is ended. Working from home could mean that you are constantly aware of work. If you work at home the ideal scenario is if you can have a totally separate space for your work. Try not to let it encroach into all the rooms in the house!

You can choose what hours you work. That is great if you are a disciplined person and you make yourself a timetable and stick with it. If you are not and you think the temptation of having that extra hour in bed in a morning, or lingering too long over a cup of coffee and the morning paper might be something you would do, then maybe working from home is not for you.

Do you have a gregarious character? Do you like being with other people? Do you like having someone around to bounce off ideas? Will you miss being with work colleagues? Working at home can be lonely. If that applies to you then programme some time in the day to go out and at least see another living soul!

An important point to consider is how it will affect other people in the home. It can cause stress. On the other hand some families may love the fact that they see more of each other and the children during the day.

Working from Home – Is it all it’s cracked up to be? Only you can decide!

Working from home requires discipline, planning and organisation. How you do this will depend on your personal circumstances and what factors you have to take into consideration.

Discipline

It is all too easy when working from home to allow distractions to encroach into the day’s work plan. Let the answer phone respond to your calls. Don’t check your emails every ten minutes. Program into the day the time when you will respond to those phone messages and emails. Discipline yourself to finish the task in hand before you do anything else.

The best tip I was ever given to make me avoid distractions was: ‘Imagine you have just been offered a free holiday in a five star hotel in Venice (one of my favourite places!), luxury travel and all expenses paid – would you take it? The answer of course is ‘Yes’. The next part of the offer is ‘The only challenge is that you must leave in 24 hours’. So would you get everything you needed to get done in that next 24 hours? My answer would still be ‘Yes!’ Somehow you would find the time and discipline to get everything done. So apply that discipline to your every day tasks.

Organise your work space

Organise your files and paperwork so that you do not waste time searching for everything. Working from home can allow you to be more creative with your surroundings. Maybe you like music in the background when you are working – you can do that when you work at home!

Planning

Plan your day/week/month. Give yourself goals and deadlines. Make a list of your tasks for the next day the night before. Prioritise them. Start with the task you know you are least looking forward to – get it over with and then the day suddenly gets better! Tick off all the tasks completed – that is really satisfying. Anything not completed put forward for the next day.

Give yourself ‘time off’

I think one of the dangers in working from home is that you might never ‘switch off’. It is important, therefore, that you program time for yourself into the day. Go out and get some fresh air – maybe go out for a sandwich at lunch time and interact with other people. Leave time during the day or evening to have some fun. That way you will feel revitalised and your time spent working from home will be more productive.

And program into the year time for that trip to Venice!

If I had to choose I would always go for service – but isn’t it great when you come across a company that wins on both accounts?

It is a rare company that never receives a customer complaint. However good a firm is, sometimes something will go wrong. The strength of any company is how they deal with those complaints.

Which? has just published research on the number of complaints received by energy companies and also on the customer satisfaction with the way in which those complaints were dealt. The ‘Big Six’ energy firms had 4 million complaints last year with mistakes on the bill and inaccurate readings causing most anger.

Out of the ‘Big 6’ energy companies the highest score was 47%. If you were an owner of a company would you be happy with customer satisfaction levels of 47% and below? These are services that everyone needs and everyone uses so is it necessary for the consumer to put up with such low customer satisfaction?

The answer is NO . In their research Which? found that the best for customer satisfaction were the smaller firms. Top of the list for smaller companies that provide both gas and electric was Utility Warehouse with a customer satisfaction level of 78%. Rather a difference!

So to go back to my question at the beginning. Isn’t it great when you find a company that gives you both good customer service and best value price? Not only will you get good personal customer service from Utility Warehouse but just check out how you can get regular discounts off your bill from their already best value prices. Enquire now by emailing me mo@dare2change.co.uk or call direct on 07957 855748.

Those of you familiar with Jim Rohn, the American Entrepreneur, author and motivational speaker, will recognise this as one of his of his quotes. More importantly, you will know that he actually acted on that and did make his fortune by initially working on his ‘part time thingy!’ His rags to riches story is truly inspirational.

The great thing about this advice is that it can apply to each and every one of us and I believe there has never been a better ‘part time thingy’ to help any one of us to build our fortune than becoming a distributor with the Telecom Plus opportunity.

Why do I think The Telegraph has chosen Telecom Plus/Utility Warehouse as one of the opportunities out there to consider in 2012?

• You are dealing with essential services. Services that everyone needs and everyone uses. You are not having to sell any product – you are helping people save money on services they already have – phone, broadband, gas and electricity

• It provides a true residual income. Once you have a customer, EVERY time that customer picks up the phone, surfs the web, switches on the central heating, boils a kettle, and even doesn’t switch off the frig! – you get paid – EVERY month that they remain a customer.

• Look at the credentials of this company. Look at the growth of the company. Look at the way their share price is performing.

Is it easy doing a’ part time thingy? ‘Of course not. It requires discipline and dedication. It means that when you get home after a hard day’s work in your salaried world, instead of sitting down in front of the television you may have to think about going out on a cold wet windy night to do a little bit of work.

Is it worth it? Is this opportunity for you? Only you can answer that question.

Is 2012 going to be the year that you take those first steps towards being able to sack your boss? Is 2012 the year that you are going to follow the advice of the financial gurus and provide yourself with the cushion of a 2nd Income Stream?

Is 2012 going to be the year when you work full time on your salary and part time on your fortune?

Have a look around my website and see if 2012 is going to be that year.

There is much in the news these days about how we are losing our High Street shops and I am awaiting the report from Mary Portas with interest.

As someone who has owned several High Street shops in the past I know only too well there are several issues making it difficult for High Street owners. Rising rents, high rates, lack of, or expensive parking , the convenience of the supermarket providing everything under the one roof, all contribute to falling numbers of consumers on the High Street.

The BBC news this morning had a slot on Direct Selling showing how it was becoming increasingly popular. There are many Direct Selling Companies out there. The one most people are probably aware of is the cosmetic company Avon who has been around successfully for many years.

The added bonus with Direct Selling is that you can also earn money!

You can have a business without all the start up costs, you are able to work from home, and the parent company works with you.

The reason I find Telecom Plus/ Utility Warehouse so attractive is, that unlike many of the other Direct Sales Companies out there , I am not having to move a product – and I certainly do not have to hold any stock ! I am providing a service that everyone needs and everyone uses – and at best value prices! As a distributor with Utility Warehouse I am able to help both businesses and households save money by reducing their overheads. This gives households more disposable income at the end of the month and disposable income is what determines our standard of living. By reducing business overheads I am helping the business with their profit margin.

I can work this business from home, I can help people save money, I can earn a growing residual income every month and I can also offer other people the opportunity to earn a second income. I think I can understand why Direct Selling is the way forward!

If anyone is interested in learning more about the Telecom Plus/ Utility Warehouse opportunity please get in touch with me at mo@dare2change.co.uk. I look forward to having a chat with you.

Sports people are Fantastic at our Business

Why?

• You have good communication skills.
• You are disciplined
• You are goal driven
• You recognise the importance of training
• You recognise the value of teamwork
• You love the feeling of success
• You know the hard work it takes to be a ‘ Winner’ but you also know that it’s worth every bit of effort.

What about putting some of these traits into your own business? This is exactly what I have done. My background is one of sport. I can’t imagine a life without it, but I have been delighted that I can also use these skills to build a successful business.

If any sports people reading this fancy earning a second income alongside what they are currently doing, have a look at my website www.dare2change.co.uk

You’ll see that we believe in training, that we know the value of teamwork and you’ll see the recognition and rewards that are on offer when you achieve success.

I know I’m slightly biased – but we sports people are really good at this business – and I’m on a mission to prove it!

Which of these lines do you identify with? ‘If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs – you’ll be a man my son’ or ‘If you can keep your head when all around you are … Continue reading →

Which of these lines do you identify with?

‘If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs – you’ll be a man my son’

or

‘If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs – you obviously don’t understand the gravity of the situation!’

The first line is taken from Rudyard Kipling’s well known poem ‘If’ and the second one is obviously a parody on that. It does, however, illustrate the different ways different people will view the same events. Not surprisingly the way they view those events will determine how they react.

For example, some people will view being made redundant as a disaster. Others, after the initial disappointment, can see it as a positive event giving them the opportunity to do something else – maybe something they’ve always wanted to.

Do you have a positive outlook, do you see the glass half full rather than half empty, do you welcome a challenge? If you are nodding your head that’s fantastic because sometimes I think we may be a dying breed!

You are the kind of people I am looking for to join my group of motivated distributors. Have a look at www.dare2change.co.uk

It may be for you. It may not be for you, but if something triggers your interest just give me a call on 07957 855748.
